OH ST JOSEPH RESORT HOTEL, Pleasantville – A Smart Stay in the City

Upon arrival, the rooms at the hotel had a musty smell and appeared outdated, with the unpleasant surprise of discovering bed bugs on the first night, leading to a frustrating experience. Despite the offer of a free night's stay to resolve the issue, the persistence of the bedbug problem caused significant inconvenience and led to opting to sleep elsewhere. The service was lacking in responsiveness and attentiveness, evident in the repeated disturbances for room cleaning. The hotel's potential to excel with renovations is overshadowed by its current state not matching the advertised images. The dining experience was disappointing, prompting the suggestion to skip the included breakfast due to subpar food quality. On the positive side, the location is conveniently close to beaches and various attractions, offering a range of activities, making it appealing for families and leisure seekers, despite needing improvements.

The hotel location was convenient for my needs, although the condition of the flooring around the pool was concerning. The rooms were tidy and had a nice chair with an ottoman, but the presence of cockroaches was off-putting. The service was not helpful, with disruptive room cleaning requests. The dining options were basic, needing more variety. Despite its flaws, the hotel's proximity to the main attractions in Atlantic City was a plus.
